Recently in Springfield, IL, reported from sj-r.com, a homeowner that was remodeling a home reported that, during a week that he was not there, about $9,500.00 in building supplies were stolen from the house. That amount included windows, doors, flooring, gutters, a bathroom vanity, a kitchen sink, and a storm door. Had this gentleman had an alarm system set up, the police would have been alerted and come to the scene before the items were stolen. (Or the thieves would have been deterred from going any further!) People in the midst of remodeling projects are often under a lot of stress. Many times, the last thing they think about is securing a home that is not even finished yet. This story proves why security is very important. A nearly $10,000 setback is not something anyone wants to face when doing home remodeling projects.
